I am a 48 year old white female, weight 130 lbs, height 5' 4", I jog 20-25 miles/week. I recently had bloodwork done and found out my total cholesterol is 260. I was then told that with an HDL of 122,
LDL of 127 and TRIG of 78 my risk factor for heart disease is very low at 2.2
I have been reading that total cholesterol over 200 is considered high. Should I be working to lower my total cholesterol, or, because of my ratios are the current levels healthy? I do have a history of heart disease on both maternal and paternal sides of my family. Thank you for any information you can offer.
