Angina has many causes. It can be blocked coronary arteries or spasms of those arteries. Either way the pain is caused from a lack of blood flow to the heart muscle. The shortness of breath is a sign that you are needing more oxygen for your heart. If you are having chest pain you should seek medical help by calling 911.

It can be produced my many things, but if the angina it is produced when you make an effort, chances are that you have a problem with your coronaries arteries (some of them might be blocked and the heart does not receive blood enough).

Please see a cardiologist for proper evaluation.
