Worries!!!!!!

I am 17 years old. Lately, i have been expierncing different kinds of pains in my chest. I am 260 pounds, six feet. Sometimes it is sudden and sharp on the left side, other times it is a little achey, and other times it is slightly burning. I notice that when i lay on my left siade, i get palpitations, and after i get up from that position, my heart is pounding and i am a little dizzy. Once in awhile, my left arm hurts aliitle from that position, and at random times. I have recently had a physical, and the doctor said my heartbeas sounded fine and my blood pressure was normal. It had a previous history of being slightly high, but no concern. i should mention that i suffer from acid reflux, so i get heartburn, burping, upper back pain, etc. Also, my fingertips get cold sometimes. I should mention that my grandmother on my fathers side has had a triple bypass and 2 angioplasties. She is 76 years old, and doing well. ANyone have any ideas?? Im only 17!!!

well to be honest, i dont deal with it well. I am on the verge of gaining enough courage to see my cardiologist again. Id rather have peace of mind, but scared that doctors maybe labeling me as someone overly obsessed with his health, they have already given me prescriptions for anti-depressants. Chest pains dont bother me, iam used to them, chest pains when my heart beats fast is something i can never get used to, because i have no explanation aside of "must be acid reflux or fibromyalgia". I think you  should persue a similar path, see a proper doctor otherwise you will live never get used to your symptoms and will always live in fear.

I experience most of your symptoms. Whenever i  get up i get dizzy with my heart pounding, i get chest and arm pains. I also have acid reflux so that might be our problem. I have been living in fear for over a year now, even when countless tests have shown i have no heart disease, but when you get pains with pounding heart beats its scary no matter what doctors tell you.

What you are describing is muscle pain; true heart related chest pain is never a stabbing pain. Try not to worry about this and try and enjoy being young; as you said you are only 17!
