Blood Pressure change

My blood pressure has always been around 90/60 and my pulse about 60.  My mother passed away after heart surgery last September.  Since then my blood pressure has been around 116/84 and pulse 74.  Did stress cause the change in blood pressure and will it return to what used to be normal for me?  One day my blood pressure was something over 90.  I am taking my blood pressure almost daily, being that my husband has high blood pressure and has to take it daily along with blood pressure medicine.

My blood pressure is back down to normal now.  I have noticed, however, that when my pulse reaches 80 per minute, I get chest pressure and slight pain.
