I got my heart rate up to 169 and then they stopped me..Im 36 i dont know if this my max but im currious why they stopped the test ...or is that normal...confused and nervous...

marc,

They would have stopped you after your heart rate was 85% of your max heart rate which is 220 BPM - your age X .85, for you that is 156 so stopping the test at 169 is normal. As far as the EKG, you need to wait for the results. Remember, a left or right BBB refers to the electrical paths on your heart which is detected by the EKG, it won't be caught on an echo or anything else. A right BBB is usually of no significance, a left BBB can be a bit more problematic in the presence of heart disease. Your stress test results would have been reviewed by a cardiologist before you would have been allowed to leave. The cardiologist is supposed to be in the dignostic center when the test is perfromed. If there was anything that was even questionable on your stress test that indicated an immediate danger you would not have been allowed to leave. Make sure you have your question ready when you get the results and ask for a copy of the report.

Good luck!

Jon
