Asking questions for one's own needs

I was not aware that we could not ask any questions that we feel we need to on this forum.  It appears that it is more than possible just to reply to those questions that appeal to or concern you.  It isn't like you are not allowed a choice.  That decision would be good for all concerned.  When you go to the Doctors office you cannot ask him not to treat the other patient's there because you feel that their needs are less than your own.  There are some fine people in this world who are anxious about their conditions, it is common to man.   Skip the questions you do not like .  If you want to play games perhaps this is not the right forum for those who want to attack.  Please go back to being polite and respectful, okay? I believe that most psychiatrists would have something to say about feeling hateful and letting aggression get the best of you, taking  it out upon another person.  Could we get back to a helping mode?  I just want everyone to find the help and or support that they need.

your not alone in feeling that way, there are many of us who feel that way. you may ask anything you want to on this forum and i hope you get answers to help you out, there are some really nice and smart people on here that have been through what your going through and can give you advice and help. so ask away. this was a great place to come and than a few came on here that want to be smart and not help out, puts people down for asking something they are really concerend about, its just not right . everyone has a right to ask anything they like, i just hope we can get back to like you said helping each other not being so rude.

Just a thought but perhaps the questions about pathology are by and large not responded to because many of us here do not have the knowledge or experience in those areas to respond. While surfgirl and  a few others have a medical background, I suspect, many here do not. It would be really nice for those with the knowledge or experience to reply to those posts.

Those of us who deal with annoying PACs and PVCs are able to respond to each other with personal experience and empathy because that is the area we know something about. It seems useless, even careless and reckless, to respond to a poster's question if I have no knowledge or experience about their condition.

just asking questions for my own needs.  What is meant by "other interest"?  What do you mean "go with the arrhythmia (sp) people...and what is the same dilemma??  I thought this WAS a site about heart disease as opposed to emotional state of mind..although I DO see a connection............what help do I need?  I am here to help others........I do not need help that much anymore, but I HAVE been in dire need of help, and found help and support on forums such as these.....I feel that I have the subjective and objective experience to help others. I feel blessed and I am grateful that I am still alive to do so.  I have worked in a CCU for 17 years.  I was in charge the last 8 years.  I have not that much concern for myself, except the gratification of helping others, which has always been my sustenance.  I am not sure I get your point.  I do believe, however, in an indirect way, you have answered ms question regarding to whom your post was directed.  I do not understand the animosity, or perhaps I am being too fragile.

Well I am sorry that the questions regarding pathology are being ignored.  I wish that they also were being answered.  But you have just made your own point.  The ouster of those whose interest is primarily in quesions about arrythmia will not generate interest in areas pertaining to heart pathology.
So what do you hope to accomplish?  It seems more likely the departure of those with other interest will leave this general heart site a desolate wilderness.  That leaves you to go with the arrythmia people and you have the same dilemma.  I think most people are not going to be able to answer heart pathology questions on a site like this.  Why not ask for a special heart pathology site?  It seems that is needed.  It is interest that sustains these sites and there are definitely those with arrythmias who need help as well as the special area of individual heart diagnosis concerns.  I would help you if I could. What is your concern for yourself?

I agree with Penny's sentiments above.......that is a process that I have seen happen here quite often......feeding off each other's anxiety.  I have also noticed that several heart questions, the ones associated with pathology, go ignored.  I have been trying to address them as well as I can.   And I also agree with often, this is no place for minors.  It just is not right.  Of course, anyone could be a minor, and we would never know.  You could be 14 for all I know. Anyway, were you talking about surgirl, or often?  Or just spouting off?

Well I certainly hope you are not talking about my responses to the 16 year olds.  They are underage and should be accompanied by a parent, so to speak.

I agree.  It sometimes causes more harm than good for people with anxiety to go to the mental health forum because sometimes they tend to feed off of each others anxiety and aquire each others symptoms. That's why there are no support groups for people who are Obsessive Compulsive because in there obsessive behavior there is a chance they could and would aquire new OCD behavior they are exposed to.  The anxiety threads in here don't bother me because the anxiety that most are concerned with in here are brought on by their concerns about their heart or either the anxiety is causing some of the heart symptoms they are suffering from.  Not to mention one of the symptoms of Mitral Valve Prolapse Syndrome is anxiety.  I know what it is like to suffer bouts of anxiety from PVC's, PAC's or suffer bouts of PVC's, PAC's from anxiety.  If any of us can lend some support to those who need it then I think we should do it.

What would Jesus do?

Here's wishing anxiety free days to all,
Penny
