While other things may triggere nzymes, if you had chest pressure wih elevated #s then you should have been watched a day or 2 in the hospital. If you feel it again, go back to the ER. Make an appt with cardiologist. Sometimes there are little signs.
Hi Ireneo,
I was diagnosed with TIA ( Transient Cerebral Ischemic Attack) after a car accident. When I made a right turn, I ran on the traffic island because of the black out. When my vision back, I was on the island. A very very scary event. It was lucky. I didn't hit any car nor people. Only 2 tyres on the right side were punctured.
They did the CT brain (no abnormality found). Ultrasound neck (no abnormality found). They didn't mention the blood test. They gave me one baby aspirin. A referral to see neurologist. I was told to live inside the spaceship for my life. I think it is very wasting time and money to find the cause, I give up already. Now seems, they're interesting and want me to start all these over again.......
Irene, I miss you very much too.
There are other things that can cause chest pain too like muscle/skeletal pain, acid reflux, esophageal spasms or even vasospasms that hurt like the real deal (heart attack) but none of those would change your enzymes. If you continue to have these pains, you'll probably need a full work-up to find out what's causing the pain. You don't want to ignore it even if it isn't cardiac related.
PS Hi Pika. Miss you.
I don't believe the cardiac enzymes although all the doctors are go figures on that. Decision made from those numbers to determine "a heart attack" or "a panic attack" by the ER doc. Some people has their cardiac enzymes elevated 3 days later.
