Change in EKG - Thallium Stress Test advised

I am a 63 yr old female with controlled HBP (25mg atenolol/day), benign PVC, slight congenital heart murmur, have had occassional fainting since childhood (not recently), 5'6"tall - 134lbs, walk at least 1 mile several times/week, good cholesterol. Had a normal thallium stress test done in 1998 because of PVC, and a normal Holter monitor in 2001 for continued rapid heart beat and HBP. Family history of heart disease on father's side...my father had several minor heart attacks beginning at age 50.

My new PCP said there was a slight change in my EKG from my last one done at a different office and has scheduled a thallium stress test this week to determine the reason for the change. During the office visit I had complained of fatigue which I attributed to taking atenolol. My BP at this visit was 120/65.

I noticed on this forum that there can be discrepancies in EKG because of poor placement or incorrect connection.

My question: Should I request another EKG at the PCP's office to make sure it was accurate before doing the thallium stress test, or just go ahead with the stress test?
Thank you.

Your scheduled stress test incorporates an EKG, etc. to monitor your electrical impulses during rest and exertion.
