All young people go through that stage too. When they have their own place, they seem to let it get messy just because they can. All my kids did that. But when they started losing things in the mess, they started to put things away again. Funny how they have to learn the hard way. And that Mom and Dad won't keep buying them new things just because they've lost the others.
Take care of the ankle and I wish you all an exciting New Year full of smiles. :-)
Happy Holidays to you and yours... Amber is doing much better in her condo, we were able to get another day per week of support staff since my accident since I can't drive but she is doing quite good. There were a couple days when my husband had stopped by and her house was a mess but I reminded her that I am not only her mother but also her landlord... told her that if she can't keep it clean I would have her come back home until I could drive again... amazing how fast she got it cleaned up!! She now realizes that although I can't drive to check on her my husband can (her place is on his way to work) Have a very Happy and Healthy New Year... Dawn
That is amazing progress for her. I've thought of you and Amber now and then, just wondering how things were going. Sorry to hear about your ankle though. That must have been pretty serious to require screws to put all the pieces together again. I'm glad all the appt. scheduling worked out.
And how is she doing in her apartment? More independent and confident? Cooking more? I bet you're proud of her.
It sounds like you're headed for a pretty good Christmas then. Take care of that ankle. No skiing or snow boarding. Just sit, drink your hot cocoa and celebrate with your daughter. Hugs to you all. irene
