interpetations from other heart patients

51 year old male patient, 2 heart attacks, last feb 2010, started to have chest pressure and clamping feeling throat in June 2010 while walking. Doc raised blood pressure meds and clamping feeling in throat subsided to swelling of tongue feeling in throat when walking. Normal ekg, normal blood work. Conditions have gone to pain chest area, feeling of swelling of throat and tongue, sometimes nausea. If I walk consistently for 35 minutes all symptoms leave rapidly, and start again with next walk. If I take a nitro tablet all symptoms disappear under 1 minute. Conditions now include an increased movement with a lost of breath deep into chest.  Sometimes feels like a stabbing pain. Sometimes chest heaviness now present without exercise at rest. Cardiology opinions vary widely. 5 stents right coronary artery, one blockage about 70% left ascending artery, that would require rotary ablation, no cardiologist will touch that one.

Anyone else experience similar symptoms and what was the outcome?

Thank you for your response, well no one wants to touch the left artery issue including our state's teaching hospital. I am going to have a cardiac cath procedure again friday and review if something went wrong with the 5 stents. If that artery narrowed then it would be open heart surgery, but they will not touch the rotary ablation needed for the left ascending artery. As far as a beta blocker, if nothing has changed in the arteries, then they will treat it with a medication.

It is difficult to find a cardiologist confident enough to work on a left artery with angioplasty because it is a risky job. You are better to write to research hospitals where the most confident/experienced cardiologists reside. Your symptoms are very similar to those I experienced a couple of years ago. Although, I had to stop my activity and rest for one minute, then resume and the symptoms stayed away. If I stopped my activity for more than 10 mins, the symptoms returned. You should really be on a beta blocker because this will really help your symptoms.
