Cold sweat and shortness of breath

I am 26 years old and no family history of heart conditions. On March 11 I had tightness of my left chest, back and shoulder blade. My heart started to beat out my chest and had this shooting pins and needles feeling moving from my left arm to my brian. Rushed myself to the ER and had blod pressure. EKG, Blood Work, Chest X-Ray, ECG and Stress Test. All show negative towards heart attack and normal. They labled this anxiety although I had no stress in my life. The next week couple of weeks I had heart palpitations. I wore a loop recorder for a week and found nothing. Then the third week after being discharged I felt my body having pins and needles feeling for one week at night only and have muscle tremor and jerks. Mind you after being discharged I quit alcohol and caffeine the cold turkey way. I used to drink heavy once a week for two years. The fifth week I have this major headache for and shortness of breath with dry cough for a couple of days. I had an MRI of the brain. They found a sinus infection in the left ethmoid. I am on antibiotic for that now. The shortness of breath with dry cough still exist up to now. On May 19, I woke up went to the bathroom developed a cold sweat, felt my heart wasn't beating and became short of breath with no chest pain. This lasted about 45 sec. I took my blood pressure, it read 101/59 at the time of the cold sweat. I was scared and didn't go the ER because of no chest pain. I am still alive up to now, shold I go tthe ER and chevck to see if there was heart damage or was this a panic/anxiety attack ?

More than likely you are having a panic attack from everything you have written here. If there were heart issues, the testing you had done would certainly have showed that. When you gave up all of the alcohol and caffine, you probably did a whammy in your body. The ER is not some place to go for a chonic type of issue, it's there for acute, life threatening issues, so the ER isn't the place for you to go; try your doctor or a med center, if you are still concerned.
