Concern of Heart Condition

I am a 44 years old male doing triathlons(swim, bike&run). I have being doing this for one(1) year now.
I train intensively, five (5) days a week and to this date, everything is all right. In a routine examination (two(2) months ago) my cardiologist(for over 10 years) discovered in a echocardiogram that my heart is enlarged(Xray also reveled that...CTR of 17/33.7cm) and also have Mitral Valve Regurgitation(MVR)(mild). My laboratories(blood& lipids) results are perfect(no flags)!!! I don't smoke, do moderate drinking and eat well.......No chest pain, no short breath, probably pre-hypertensive(non medicated)(125/68 or 136/73) Pulse 52 to 62 is normal. After training my blood preassure is (110/62 or 115/65) No family history of heart  conditions or sudden death. My father (71) also has MVR and is doing good. My mother(68) is fine!!!

Am I at any risk of a heart failure during my competitions or training????? Do I have to change anything from my lifestyle??? I have never felt so fit and athletic in my whole life!!!
I am running 5K's in 24 minutes and 10K's in 51 minutes. During this year I competed in 18 races including 5 triathlons.

I would appreciate your answer.

Am not a sport doctor :) only can talk from my own experience, and can offer my non professional opinion: no absolutely do not quit anything you are doing. If one point you will have heart failure, it will be not be because of your competition training. It helps actually you to stay well, and recover if later any heart problem you would have.
Always listen to your body. Don't do more, but also don't do less.
I was in heart failure # IV...with all the symptoms few years ago; I know it was my active lifestyle that I had before helped me to recover on medication. I am sill running few times a week, 3-5 kilometers  and planning to run and do other exercises for the rest of my life.

I think it's somewhat common for athletes who train that hard to have enlarge hearts. The heart, just like any muscle when trained intensely will "bulk" up so to speak. I don't think it's that much of a problem, especially if your doctor didn't seem concerned. Congratulations on all your accomplishments! I'm jealous, I wish my heat would let me still do that.

Best wishes
