First, let me say that this site has been great for peace of mind lately! I am 33, healthy, and have 2 boys. I started having PVCs a little over a year and a half ago. I had a holter and event monitor (benign-unifocal pvcs) and a normal echo at the time. They have come and gone randomly since then until 2 months ago. I have now been having them EVERY day, and it is very frustrating!!!! I can not put a trigger on them at all. I may have a few a day, or up to 8 or 9 per min. I will have a good day and be encouraged, only to wake up with the skipping again. My Dr. put me on Toprol XL we started at 12.5 and I am now up to 50mg daily. I have not seen much difference with the med, so I think I am fixing to taper back off of that. For those of you with success on the BB what was the time frame that you saw a difference?? I am also questioning a relation to Birth Control Pills - has anyone experienced this?? I had started a new pill when they started to happen so bad daily. I went back to my original pill and have been back on it 6 wks or so, but no help there either! I have an apt. with another cardiologist in a few weeks, so I hope to get some answers then. You try hard to not think about them, but it is impossible when you feel the "thud" in your throat so often! It is crazy when a minute without them seems to be a blessing :) !
Thanks a-lot!
