Dear Dr.: results of Echocardiogram

Hi: I am a 41 yr old female who just received the results from my echocardiogram.  the test gave all types of values for dimensions and contractility and than gave  a conclusion as
1. Normal LV function with EF 60 to 65%
2 Impaired LV relaxation with normal estimated left atrial pressure (grade 1 diastolic dysfunction)
I won't see the Dr. for 2 weeks. What do these results mean.
Thankyou.

My PCP called and said that my test results are normal instead of my specialist. I have an appt with my pulmonarologist on Wed. There were alot of test done. 1 result was intereperted by my specialist who sent for the tests: she said that i had dirty lungs, any idea of what that is.

Ejection fraction (EF) has a normal range of 55 to 75%, and indicates the percent of blood pumped into circulation with each heartbeat.

Grade 1 is a mild condition of diastolic (heart's filling phase) disorder indicating there may be some stiffness of the heart wall inhibiting some of the flexibility needed to enlarge the left ventricle for normal filling capacity.
