Stress can cause high blood pressurePressure ulcer, though. I am a proven fact. My blood pressure all my life was 90/60 or below and now after my mom passed away from heart surgery (she suffered tremendously) my blood pressure is 120/86 and above. Reducing stress has a proven benefit for your heart. Have not heard that high cholesterol is attributed to stress. If your parents have had high cholesterol, then it is most likely in the family and there is little you can do about it. If the HDL is very low and LDL is very high and you are not eating bacon, eggs, with grease everyday, then it is most likely hereditary. Talk to your doctor to see if you need to add a vitamin B stress tab to your diet. Maybe you are not getting enough B vitamins from your food.
