Yes, a panic attack can cause a sudden increase in heart rate as well. However, it usually stays under 1200 BPM, from what I've read, 250 BPM is higher than what happens with a panic attack.
I'm a CF regular, I'll look you up.
Jon
hey jon im on the corvette forum. Im tayman1975. I also have a video on you tube. underglow corvette. Check it out. My dad said what happened to me was a panic attack. Can panick attacks cause the heart to beat that fast.
Yes, see your doctor and get checked out. I am a Vette man as well. That's my 2004 A6 coupe, love it. Like the older ones as well, always have Corvettes kicking around. I love the 2003 Z06, that's a nice car.
Thanks jon. I see your into corvettes. I have 2003 Z06. Im going to see the doctor tomorrow. I hope they get on this right away.
250 BPM is way too high so you need to get a full workup. The good news is that it converted back on it's own, but you should still see your doctor and get a referral to a cardiologist to be safe. If you have, what did they say?
Had this rhythm lasted long enough, it COULD have turned into ventricular fibrillation which is a mostly fatal rhythm. That's what you see on TV when the doc shouts "V Fib" and shocks the patient back into a normal rhythm, but there's no way for anyone here to tell you if this rhythm was a type that progresses to V Fib, you need to see a cardiologist.
Hope this helps,
Jon
