Echo Results For Military

I need help on reading my echo results for the military and I want to know if you can tell me if i can get in the military without a waiver or will i need one. My results are as followed:

Impression:
1. Technically good quality study
2. Normal left ventricular size, wall thickness and contractility
The estimated left ventricualr ejection fraction is 75%
3. Normal left atrium, right atrium and right ventricle.
4. no pericardial effusion is seen
5. structurally unremarkable aortic, mitral, tricuspid, and pulmonic valves with trace mitral regurgitation and mild tricuspid regurgitatiaon detected by doppler examination.

doctor had heard a heart murmur at meps. and said i needed an ekg and echo to rule out any defects..the doctor thought i had a ventricular septal defect but i dont see no where in my results that it says i have one.

Read the impressions.  However, you'd best ask your doctor if you will pass. Why did you need one for the military anyway? Did they hear something?

PS almost everyone has that trace mitral regurgitation. I don't know about the tricuspid regurgitation, but I would say that since he didn't say abnormal, it would pass.

Also you realize this is answered by other forum members. You have to pay $20 to have a doctor tell you anything. I'm not a doctor, just an EKG tech. I can't diagnose.
