Figures (off topic, sort of)

Cancelled my interrogation...wouldn't ya just know, I put my back out yesterday...seriously out.  Actually went to see Dr Sweetie for meds.  I am waiting to see what the xrays show. The problem is, of course, the compression fracture that we never addressed when this happened last time and we ended up checking for bone mets, and lung mets and then found the CHF. Wonder what we will find this time.

I told him that I refuse to get caught up in the whole bone mets thing and if it is mentioned this time, I don't want to know.  Just figure out what is wrong with the back, treat it if needs be and no extraneous testing.

So now I get to live with the pulsating diaphragm for a while longer.  I wonder what Fred Frog would say about this whole thing.

I have chronic pain for sciatica and have found a great COX-2 inhibitor that is actually good for you, unlike Vioxx and its cousin (or maybe sibling) Celebrex.

Nexrutine which can be bought only online. It is made from the bark of a tree and doesn't affect COX-1 like the salicylates such as found in the bark of white willow that was the basis for aspirin. Swanson Vitamins has a great compound of Nexrutine, Quercetine and Curcumin called Ultra COX-2 Combo which I take with  the digestive enzyme Bromolain. and the biosulfer MSM. This really helps with the pain and provides a safe anti inflammatory. Careful with the Bromolain if you have any issues with your stomach since to get it to work this has to be taken on an empty stomach.

Good luck with your back. I find that mine is pretty much the driving force in my life these days. A few days ago I bought a nice back brace at a medical supply store for $31. It can be worn under baggy clothes but isn't to good for sitting down in. I will be wearing it to grocery shop this Sunday. Foam and gel pads in the shoes are a great help and I have a carry with cushion for travelling.
