Possible heart problem?

About two months ago, I went to my doctor and had a normal girly check up. I was perfectly healthy, not one problem. I received the Gardasil Vaccine for cervical cancer. I'm not sure if that is the cause of this but now when i'm laying in bed my heart will start racing really fast and it's difficult to breathe. Sometimes i'll even have fallen asleep and i'll wake up with it beating super fast and i'll be shaking uncontrollably for a few minutes. There was even a time when I woke up with cold sweats and then sometimes hot flashes. Could it be the Gardasil vaccine? I asked my doctor and she had no idea what I was even talking about, so I would really appreciate the input... What else could it be? What do I need to do to take care of it?

I meant that I had symptoms similiar to that when I went through my change of life. But on the otherhand I have seen others in here post about having their hearts start racing while they were asleep.  I am hoping someone will see your post and respond.  Keep us informed!

I had a miscarriage about a month before I got the vaccine and many people I talk to say its anxiety, even the doctor that claimed that Gardisil had no side effects said that it was anxiety. It doesn't happen every night and I don't go to bed thinking about all the stresses in my life. I'm actually very calm and collected before bed. Sounds like I just need to go to a NEW doctor.
Ally you said that you had gone through some of what I am going through? Have you gone to a doctor that has said anything about it?

Yes, Ed, it was in Texas that the vaccine was made mandatory.  I think that lasted maybe a few months.  But I would still have to wonder.  I have gone through the change and some of what she is complaining about sounds like the symptoms I had with the change.  The sweats and hot flashes.  How much study has been made on this vaccine?  I know my husband thinks because I have heart spasms that wake me up I must be having bad dreams.  Who knows.  Have you gone through any emotional distress since getting the vaccine?  Take care, Ally

ah, the good old Gardasil vaccine. This caused quite a stir I believe in Texas which was the first place to make it mandatory for children of school age to have this treatment. Doctors and many parents were not happy about this decision because the research sucked basically. It had only been tested on school aged children and this is not a wide band of research. There were cases of fainting and a few other problems, but the drug company and FDA refused to study these because the numbers were so small. There are basically two possibilities, one is as Kay points out, anxiety, and the other is you are reacting to the drug. I would inform your Doctor that since having this vaccination you have felt odd and tell them your symptoms. They may want to take blood tests to see if you are having some kind of reaction. If your Doctor doesn't know anything about Gardasil, then recommend she takes a few courses to get into the 21st century.
take care
