Heart problems

I went to the Dr. on May 8th, with mild chest pains. He ordered and EKG and noticed arrythmia. I had an ECHO/stress test done a few days later - which showed a lot of PVC's, arrythmia, and on the 23rd had a heart cath done. All my blood work is normal, including my cholesterol (155 - hdl 52). I am soon to be 46 years old. Overweight (185) and 5'3". I have worked & worked out at a gym for the past 12+ years. I do 1 hour of strength training & 45 - 55 minutes of cardio 5 days a week ( I also wear a heart monitor so I know I am in my training zone). After the heart cath I was told that I have absolutely no blockage (yeah!) but I was told I have a "weak heart muscle". My follow-up appointment isn't until the 31st and this is driving me nuts. When I was in recovery for the heart cath, he mentioned something about an enlarged heart.  The internet can be a curse, because when I "google" "weak heart muscle" nothing GOOD comes up. My cardiologist did put me on 10 mg of Lisinopril even though I do not have high blood pressure. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this before I lose my mind as well!

Honestly, it's not the irregular heart beats that worry me. I have had them for years. It's that I have a weak & enlarged heart that I am concerned about.

Hey all, just thought I'd let you in on a little secret that may make you really excited.  I've had heart palpatations for about 4 years now and they would come on arounbd the 4th of each month and be so strong that I'd get really dizzy, almost pass out, and really scared.  They would last for 12 hours each time... trust me when I say they were bad!   I finally found something that really stopped my palps and haven't had many in the last 6 months, and if I do they are really light and maybe a few seconds long.  I've been so happy leaving them behind.  Here's what I take.    L-Carnitine "Fumerate"  caps.  I took them for 2 months at 2000 mg per day spread out, and when they stopped all together I stopped taking the l carn all together.  I usually have a few small palps as sort of a warning before the big boys kick in, at which time I'll pop 1000 mg and they never surface.  They are a bit expensive, but for me, they are my cure.  Good luck and I hope they work for you.  Remember, get the fumerate version.  I'm not going to say what brand because I'm not selling a product and I suppose any brand should work as long as it is fumerate.
