Hole in heart

Hole in heart

I have been diagnosed as having a mild hole in the heart with a right to left shunt. I do not know the difference between a left to right shunt, to a right to left shunt. I need an easy explanation, is one or the other more dangerous? I experience symptoms ie breathlessnes and giddiness on exertion and recurrent TIAs.  Has anyone had the same and did it lead to a closure?

I have been diagnosed has having two ASD's and also tricuspid regurgitation and slight enlargement of right ventricle. I get breathless on exertion and have palpitations. Are you having your's closed up?

In answer to your posting I have no idea if they are going to close it or not. I also have mild tricuspid & pulmonary valve regurgitation and was told it is a finding usually seen by sensitive equipment and not to worry about it.  How true that comment is I do not know. I get breathless on exertion, palpitations and extremely tired. It is the right to left shunt I would like to know about as I did research and it said it was more serious than the left to right shunt.  What is happening about your's? What does enlargement of right ventricle lead to?
