Thank you so much for everything.
Okay-Seems I am off today :) You are a male, sorry. Check with cardiologist and contact http://www.coregcr.com/
I met to say Coreg IS A category C drug, duh
You would be at a high risk for worsening your heart problems if you get pregnant. I don't believe coreg is a category C drug meaning it hasn't been tested on pregnat humans but the fetus animal study doesn't look good.
I had Peripartum Cardiomyopathy with my second child and had to stop breast feeding because of the coreg. even though I recovered completely without heart transplant I was told not to have anymore babies, because I may not be so lucky.
I took it to heart and didn't do it.
If I were you I would find a cardiologist with lots of experience with high risk pregnancy and see if is really worth risking your life or even a baby's life.
Try your question on the Ask a Pharmacist forum. But you should be discussing this with your Mommy-2-b 's OB/GYN doctor in advance. You'll need the confidence that comes from a face to face discussion with your cardiologist and OBGYN so you don't worry. Joan.
