Is this really Bradycardia

My pulse rate when sitting and resting is almost aways in the mid 50's, laying down it s in the high 40's. I get a Echo done yearly for moderate mitral reguratation and my rhytmn is sinus rhythm. no remarks about the rhytmn other than that.

I have been having a slow resting rate for as long as I know of but when I go to the DR. it is always 68-80 at the highest. I have no symtons but reading different things about bradyardia am wondering if I have it.

I do feel palps at time but feel them in my stomach, I have fibromyalgia and IBS.

Thanks, Linda

No I never had  a holter, never even thought much about the low rate until reading so much about this. Thanks for the reply I appreciate you time.

I did get on the heart site to post to the DR. anbout this see what he says.

My huabsnd had a heart attack and by pass surgery done about 4 months ago and is on two different b/p meds and they told him to watch his pulse rate they do not want it under 60.

I eget episodes of low heart rate.  They tell me it's nothing unless I suddenly become symptomatic or something.

Have you had a Holter monitor done?  I did, because I was having lows and highs.  It turned out my lows only dipped to about 51 and my highs only went to 170 (during exertion).  I always heard that below 60 was bradycardia, but my cardiologist assured me the 51 was fine.  That made me feel much better :)
