Just found out I have MVP and mild regurgitation one year ago at 52 years old. Just completed my second echo in two years, first showed ejection fraction 67, mild mitral regurgitation, physiologic tricuspid reg, and trace aortic reg. Mild mitral valve prolapse, mild right ventricular dilatation, aortic arch 3.24cm, calcification of the aortic valve. Other functions seem to be normal.
My second one done about two weeks ago showed some changes, 1. Mild thickened mitral valve which I did not have before, when I saw my cardiologist the other day she said no thickening when I asked. but got report right after and shows-- Mildly thickened mitral valve. 2. My RVSP is now 36 mmHg a little high last year only 27. 3. Mild left atrial enlargement by volume criteria now 31ml was 21 ml last year. Can anyone give me some information on these changes? I am not having symptoms, good weight and over all healthy. thanks
