NOT Mitral Valve Prolapse???

Recently was having palpitations went to doc who heard an audible clicking sound in my heart. Lub-Click-Dub. Is how they explained it. 2 doctors didn't hear a murmer after the click, but one did. Echo doesnt show a MVP. What else could this be? Could it just be a regular heart sound?

Patients with mitral valve prolapse may have a mid-systolic click along with a murmur.  There are no other valve conditions that would be associated with the ausculation.

It is best heard with diaphragm, at the apex, but also may be heard at the left lower sternal border.  The click is usually followed by a systolic murmur.  The click and murmur
move with postural changes.

There may have been a postural change or stethoscope placement.

Thanks for your question.  Take care.
