boogernose is right. My GP once told me that most people who do not take BP meds have a spike between 4 and 5 in the morning. It has something to do with metobolic rhythms. That is one of the reasons BP meds are taken just before bedtime in most cases. However, yours is somewhat higher than the average person. Get it checked out, even if it means spending a night in the hospital.
Im not a Doctor , but have some problems close to that ,with rapid heart beats ,early
am and high b.p readings as well. off and on -
It could be something your eatting ? or somewhat like a sleeping pannic attack, happenig -dreams can cause b.p to rise or spike ! you wake up and feel it happening
or fear it , and it only makes things worse!! like white coat syndrome happenig ..
does your b.p drop to normal, when your awake ? or go back to normal readings.. ?
I would see a Doctor about this, or Cardiologist - as they can find the problem better than a normal Doctor can .. you might need to be on a medication to lower b.p down
only at night ? but I think due to the problems your having , its very worth getting checked out ! as to try and put a end to your problems and stop the spikes !
good luck and take care
