scary heart episode..need feedback...please!!!!

this evening about an hour ago i went into an episode where my heart felt like it went into a continuous pvc that would'nt convert back into a normal rythm, i have been having probably about a hundred or so pvc's every day for the last 2 weeks now...this is nothing new, the dr increased my toporol from 25 mg to 25 mg twice a day aout 2 weeks ago, but i dont always take the extra dose becouse i have been so tired lately and i'm afraid the extra dose would just knock me out..hard since i have 3 kids at home..on top of everything about 5 days ago my daughter went to jail on a bench warrant and i had to take care of her 3 month old daughter..it has been so stressful..luckily she got out today and all that has been taken care of, but her problems has been an ongoing source of stress and anxiety for me for the last 2 years...im wondering if i could have had a minor heart attack tonight...i have had these before, but this time i had a little bit of chest pain with it...the paramedics came and my heart was fast but normal rythm, bp was about 154 over 95..of course they wanted to take me to the emergency room but since i can't get insurance for my pre existing heart condition, i dont want to get stuck with another whopping ambulance/hospital bill...only to be told that i am ok and be sent home anyway! i cant stop crying now..i just wish this **** would stop!!! it seems that it just keeps getting worse!!

Hi,

I can't tell you a thing about your health conditions, as I don't know anything. I can tell you that many hospitals have programs that are unadvertised to help cover the cost of care for people like yourself. You should call them, ask about programs for the uninsured - they usually have horrible names like 'charity care' or 'indigent program', but they are for people who do not qualify for medicaid or medicare and do not have insurance. Our local hospital is a teaching facility so once you are qualified they give 6 months of coverage and you can see any doctor in their network, it's a great program I would have never known about had my husband not required a  trip to the ER. They not only covered that visit and all it's associated costs, but they paid for an MRI the specialist and surgury to correct the problem as well as physical therapy afterwards. The brace company and drug companies also had programs to cover their expenses - I was dumb-fonded. Please call and PLEASE do not delay care because of cost.

I wish you the best.
