Pericardial Cyst - Please Help

I'm a 37 year old mom to a beautiful 14 month old baby girl.  I was told yesterday via CT Scan that I appears I have a pericardial cyst.  Can someone please tell me what this is? Is it serious? I'm so scared.

Thank you
Liz

Pericardial cysts are an uncommon benign congenital anomaly in the middle mediastinum (layer of the heart).

There are minimally invasion techniques for a definite cure.  The seriousness depends on the location relative to other parts of the heart as it could cause a crowding out and an obstruction to normal functionaliity. For an otherwise healthy individual the risk of surgery is low.
