High Blood Pressure

I know my blood pressure has been increasing over the last year, to now it is 196/106.  I know I need to go to a Dr., but what do i ask?  other than for meds to lower.  Are there any tests I should request?  Am 44 female in LA with 3 kids, I know that is enough to make my BP spike, but I don't want to stroke out.

I totally agree!  You need to act on this quickly.  You don't have to worry about what to ask the doctor, once they take your blood pressure they'll know what to do.  In the meantime, avoid salt, and salty food, and caffeine.  Your BP is extremely high, so don't wait.

I am not a doctor, but that is extremely high - norm is 120/80. I would get to a doctor ASAP and let the doc determine what tests to perform and anything past that. This is not something to put low on your priority - should be at the top. Call today...
