Pericarditis ?

Hi,
I have been suffering with shortness of breath on and off for 5 years now. It started out with severe shortness of breath, i couldn't talk a few words or walk a few steps without being winded. I was weak and pale. My left chest and back was sore and full of pressure and heaviness. I couldn't even lay down slightly, or i would feel like someone was sitting on my chest. I had a echocardiagram at a cardiologist office. He said there was some fluid around the pericardium but not enought to call it pericarditis. He said you are fine. I was not fine at all. I felt this way for about 6 months. Over that time i had cat scans of chest.mri of the heart, stress echo, nucleur stress tests, nucleur tests for clots in my lungs, blood tests for heart and autoimmune problems. Nothing showed up except a little fluid around the heart at times.
My question to you is: have you ever seen a patient with these symptoms for this long. Although i am much better than the first years with this i still have to baby myself. Activity makes me get the symptoms back again. If i get my heart rate up doing even slow walking or house work, hours later and the next day i feel pressure in my back, chest  deep inside and shortness of breath, my head feels like there is pressure in my temple area and i am fatigued, i also make a gurgly noise in my throat.
I have a history of chronic fatigue syndrome, allergies, asthma, gastroperesis, low blood pressure. I have gotten extensive tests done on my lungs and was told asthma is hardly exsistant. when i had a chest cat scan with contrast i was given steroids, so i wonder if that could have masked inflamation of any suspicians in my chest by bringing down the inflamation. Steroids and antiiflamatorys are what gives me some relief. This is ridiculous that in this day and age i continue to suffer without answers. Please, Please help.
Sincerely, Alison
