Plaque in the arteries

My question is this:
Once there is plaque buildup in the arteries, can this be reversed by excersise and good diet, or will those things only help prevent future additional buildup?

Ed is correct, however there are studies that show that an LDL consistently below 70 may actually reverse some plaque from the arteries, but not a substantial amount. Every little bit helps though!

The latter. It's a bit sad but as yet there isn't a chemical we can put into arteries to dissolve all that plaque. Of course, the plaque is a calcium build up on top of the softer fat. Its a shame there isnt a degreaser we can swallow to dissolve it all
