Can exercise damage the heart?

Could anyone tell me what kind of heart disease is not suitable for 45 mins exercise?  If I wasn't know that and go ahead with it.... Would it damage my heart further?

How to you tell the limitation?  Everyone gets high heart rate like 140 - 180 when exercise.

Dr said exercise would help heart runs better.  Could exercise help to stronger or hold the valves not further down to regurgitation?  Would it help the muscle move normally?

Thanks.

Maybe your doc needs so much blood drawn for all of the tests, that it would cause you to pass out? Just kidding. I have good veins and never have trouble, unless someone who is nervous is sticking me. I never watch either....My wife is butchered when she has a blood test.

Folks should lift a few weights or use their kitchen counter tops to do "standing push ups". Put your hands about shoulder length apart on the edge of the ct's. Back up ~2-3 feet from the ct. Keep your back straight and start going toward the ct and push yourself back, and so on and so forth. It is very good for toning the arms and especially the flabby triceps that come with age :>(  . Mine are not flabby yet, but I see some women that need help....

Thank you, both of you.

Jack, I've moderate tricuspid and mild mitral valve regurgitation.  As you're talking about the ANA to someone in this forum.  My gastro dr wants me to go for that as well, too many tests.  She doesn't want me to put all the request forms in at one time.  She wants one in 2 weeks and one in few months time.  One needle can solve and she wants 2 needles for me.  She wants to torture me!  I don't know should I listen to them anymore or just walk away - full stop.  Again the cholestrol and diabete also need blood test.  All the bees around me......  I want to cry....  Sorry.

I know for sure that if you have aortic valve damage and severe leakage, it is bad for your heart to exercise. The strain on the heart will cause the LV to enlarge. Also if you have another valve that is leaking severely, you should not exercise. In both of these cases, the person will be waiting for valve repair/replacement.

If you have mild regurgitation, talk to your doctor about exercise.
