I have a similar problem. Rapid heartbeat, heavy breathing after just walking a short distance, sweats sometimes, weakness and just a little dizziness not too serious. I feel useless because I can't do anything at all except go to the bathroom and go downstairs to bed which is a real battle to get there. Once I sit down, I still have the rapid heart beating, but not as bad and I can breath okay. After I settle down I am so tired afterwards. I went to E.R. and they said all tests were normal, that was a week ago. I was prescribed an inhaler, which I haven't gotten yet because of the holiday weekend. I hate living like this because I am used to being so active. I have had this for about a week.
After walking from o e too. To the next my heart rate makes an extreme jump. My resting g heart rate is 95 BPM after walking from one room to the next my heart rate hits over 140 BPM. Any idea what could be causing this?
Good luck and keep us informed. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Yes, I'm going to see a Dr., but I appreciate your information. I had a regular yearly physical in February, but everything was normal. I do take Synthroid, but don't smoke, etc.
You have serious symptoms that can be related to your heart and/or your respiratory system. Even if the symptoms subside, you should still get an exam to rule out any heart damage, etc. I'm surprised you didn't see a doctor a couple of months age High pulse rate and shortness of breath was the only symptoms needed for me to get into ER. I learned I had had a silent heart attack sometime prior.
Certainly, you should be seeing a doctor for these systoms of disease. A doctor, I'm betting, will be interested in determining if you are overweight, do you smoke, and would want to have a full blood test done to look at your general health as well as thyroid, kidney function, blood sugar levels. With the serious nature of your symptoms, you shouldn't look for answers on the internet, you need to contact a physician. After contacting a doctor and getting some answers, let us know what was determined to be the cause of the problem.
