Returning to work with Myocarditis?

Hi, 28yo/male here, I left work and checked into the ER two days ago. I thought I had a cold/pnemonia and a bad anxiety attack (had been having problems about 4 days). Blood test suggested due to elevated heart enzymes that I had a heart attack, and would need to be transfered to a different hospital for futher testing.

While a heart attack couldn't be ruled out, the cardiology team seemed to land more on myocarditis. I was released from the hospital after about 36 hours and have been prescribed asprin and naproxen (to battle heart inflammation).

The ER did not mention anything about returning to work. Today, the day after leaving the ER I had a follow up visit with a "floating physician" at my doctors office (primary care physician is out of the country until next month). I talked with this physician about what had happened, and she went to go make copies of my paperwork from the ER. My intention was upon her return to ask more questions but instead someone else handed me the paperwork back and said I was done and would have a phone call when I got the referral for my 1 month follow up echo.

Now I am left here wondering if I can go back to work tomorrow. My job isn't physically demanding (90% of time I am at a desk), but it is stressfull and I am worried that if I return I will have an anxiety attack which might not be good.

I am already having sensations of my heart racing a bit and short breathing just from stress/anxiety but worried that I might ignore a real heart problem assuming that it is just anxiety/stress. I previously "self-treated" my anxiety with substabce abuse (ciggarettes/marijuana/alcohol) but obviously stopped all that due to the recent health issue. Without a way to control my anxiety, I'm left feeling confused and frustated. I bought a watch with heart rate monitor to makes sure I don't physically have a racing heart (been high 50s to low 70s same as when in hospital).

Just looking for some reassurance that I can return to work tomorrow or if I should be taking longer to rest?
