Hello and hope you are doing well.
Understand what you are going through. But the basic aim of any therapy is to stabilize the condition, give improvement in symptoms, thus providing good quality life and preventing complications. Based on the status of A fib, Flecanide may have been advised. If you are worried about side effects, discuss with your doctor. And improper control of Afib can lead to complications. Good Luck!
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Thank you for your comment and advice, its so hard to know what to do what with Natropaths telling me to stay away from potentially harmfull drugs and to try taking Magnesium as its supposed to be good for the ticker and Coenzime Q10.
My Dr`s seem to have a bit of a blaise approach and just virtually say just take it, you`ll be okaywhich is a worry cause it states on the directions and feedback that Flecainide should be taken in monitored situations for the 1st 24 to 46 hrs, am off to speak to cardioligist again on Tuesday so I hope I can feel better after that.
Thank you again and hope you have a good week.
Kind regards Johnbe3
Hello and hope you are doing well.
The basis of therapy of AF are treating the underlying heart disease, restoring the rhythm, maintaining the rhythm and anticoagulation to prevent complication. For restoring the rhythm medications like Flecanide are used. Without rhythm control, the main complication is increased ventricular rate. Also, exercise tolerance is better with rhythm control. So, based on your present clinical symptoms and AF status, therapy can be planned. So, please don't worry and discuss the possibilities with your consulting doctor.
