My wife had a pacemaker installed last April to control Atrail Fibrillation. She also had an abration process to make her pacemaker dependent. She has progressively had extreme fatigue to the point that she is not able to walk very far without resting, nor exercise at all. She has had banks of tests including blood, adrenal, nuclear stress test, etc., and all were in the "normal" range. Some have mentioned "pacemaker syndrome" as a possibility, but has not experienced the symptoms for this as described in the literature we could find to read about it. What would you suggest we consider to determine why this extreme fatigue persists? She has consulted with her cardiologist, an electro physiologist, a rheumatologist as well as her primary care physician to no avail.
