Should we get a 2nd opinion

We just found out that my mom has 2 100%blockages and one 80% blockages in her main arteries plus a blockage in her leg,the doctor said they wouldnt do surgery because she has COPD and they are treating her with medication.Should we get another opinion? Sometimes I think that her breathing was more due to her heart.

Always get a second or third opinion. All her blockages pose problems. Sometimes they go with med to stabilize any potential clotting or potential MI. They still need to see what is wrong and what the priorities should be.  Ask them what the heart function is and the next steps to take.

Unless there is heart failure (low cardiac output) shortness of breath probably has more to do with COPD.  I would get a second opinion because to have severe blockage, interention may be required based on whether or not there is adequate blood flow to areas the vessels supply....ct or cath angiogram to evaluate blood perfusion
