Chest pain for over a month

Hi,
I am a 26 y/o male nonsmoker, drink 2-3 alcoholic beverages a week, 6'1'' and 190 lbs.  About a month and a half ago I started getting a dull pain in my left chest, occasionally radiating down my left arm.  I also began to feel nauseated off and on throughout the day.  The pain doesn't get worse when palpated and is not worsened by movement.  No sob or diff breathing.  The pain is not worsened by exertion.  In addition, I still have full strength in my left arm and full range of motion.  I had chest pain for about a week once two years and I went to the ER and had a cardio workup with CXR, ekg, and blood which were all negative.  I have been to the doctor twice this month and both times I was told it wasn't cardiac but both doctors I saw were unsure of the cause.  I did get a new CXR this past week but it was negative.  Both times I went I had normal vitals and I haven't had a fever.  I have had gerd symptoms in the past, but both said they didn't think this was related to gerd as the pain isn't epigastric it is much more lateral.
I thought it would get better by now and the frequent nausea is inconvenient at best and the pain is somewhat worrisome.  One of the doctors said it could be to stress, but it seems unlikely to me because the onset of the symptoms were not associated with any particularly stressful event.
Any ideas to what the cause could be?
Thanks for your time!

Have you tried taking a nitrate.  If it is chest pain do to lack of good oxygen flow to the heart, there will relief.  But it doesn't rule out an esphogeal malady.
