Within 24 hours of starting magnesium, the headache was gone. I think it's also helped with the hypertension.
Mg is difficult to get in diet. E.g., it's in whole wheat bread but the phytates that are also in bread impede absorption.
You can also get Mg from a bath in epsom salts. The idea of getting Mg through the skin seemed weird to me, until I correlated that with the "aquatic ape" theory. (There is Mg in ocean water.)
When taking a magnesium supplement, do NOT take Magnesium Oxide as it's very poorly absorbed.
