Tachycardia and Verapamil Anyone on this med?

HI,I went back to my cardologist today because of my shortness of breath and chest pain and dizziness,,,he showed me the pictures of my stress test and he explained that the small portion that does not get adequate blood when  stressed is not a serious thing,,,,but my heart rate  problem,he gave me Verapamil sr to try this time 120 mg i have tried Bystolic and Atenol they made me feel very strange im so afraid this new med will drop my heart rate to much,,,,sometimes at night my heart rate is 86 will this med dropp it way down and my blood pressure is usually good.Please if anyone has good experience with this med let me know,,I read ths side effects and they sound scary

I dont know how to add to my thread but will i dose of verapamil cause you to get pains in your shoulder joint my right arm just started hurting when i lift it up or take a deep breath i ddint do anything to hurt it,,my dr statred me out on 120 mg, sr im kinda scared and i feel confusion but that could be from the ativas or risperdal that im on an i have been having intense dizzinss but had that before the verpamil,,is this a good drug what are the common side efffects

I was on it for a week but my side effects were not very pleasant, a bit out of the norm. They took me off of it. Now I take Diltiazem (another CCB) without much trouble. A heart rate of 86 at night is still pretty brisk. Mine is normally 60 at rest, in the low 70's when I'm up moving around. And that was before Diltiazem. No, I'm not athletic. I'm an old pudgy lady.
