I have had this feeling, and found out mine was due to "Mouth Breathing". This can happen during periods of stress, as well as if you are having allergies or other problems causing you to breath through your mouth. Mine began when a nose injury caused a deviated septum. Hope you feel better soon!
I had the’’ trooped air’’ feeling. I blamed it on stress also. I was a perfectly healthy 52 years old , in good shape ,on most healthy diet. That feeling repeated itself more often. I ignored it until a point I got short in breath when laying down and had noises from my long.
I think not much you can do. I did try yoga breathing, that I’ve been doing on and off in my whole life that didn’t help.
Finally went to do Dr only months later after my first “trooped air” episode.
I was in serious heart failure by then, also had pulmonary edema.
I still believe that, and would never underestimate it, stress has a powerful effect, it is a starting or triggering factor of most heart issues.
Don’t take it lightly. Go and get it checked!
Good luck.
