To those who ask me questions...

Hi fellow forum members.

Occasionally I get people who e-mail me or post me directly on the MedHelp sites.  I don't mind that, I'm not a real private person when it comes to my e-mail.  But I do want to clear some things up.

First and most important, I'm not a doctor or any kind of medical professional.  I do a lot of reading, a lot of my own researching for myself and family members who don't have internet access (I find and print stuff for them, you know) and I have an interest in the medical field in general.  These things do not in *any* way make me qualified to answer any questions in a diagnostic manner.  Ever.  The only thing I can share with you is what a PAC feels like when I experience one myself, or how I can understand anxiety, things like that.  I have ZERO medical training and ZERO qualifications to say anything further than that.

Second, any info I post here is just based on my own personal experience.  Personal experience, in my experience, is almost never universal.  We share common complaints, but none of us can safely self-diagnose based on some symptoms other people have.

Third, when we reassure each other about PACs, PVCs or other issues we might share in common, we (I) offer reassurance based on first hearing that your doctor has given you a clean bill of health and told you not to worry.  Once that is all said and done then I'll be the first to step and tell you anxiety over these things is worse than the palpitations.  I'll also tell you that you CAN beat anxiety.  That's what support means, that we offer encouragement.

Alrighty :)

I think that everyone who reads your comments will appreciate what you are saying.  We should ALL know that responses here are from our own personal experiences and we are NOT medically qualified.  If we have any problems then first and foremost we should be checked out by a cardio - that is the main thing, but to come on here and read about other people's experiences can be comforting to us.  I am unsure about the anxiety though, because for example today I was just unloading the dishwasher and then WHAM off they went again, and then that does stress you out and so as a result you may have more of them - it's a real mind game when they happen - they totally freak me out and I have to make a real effort to calm down and hope that no more happen.  Does anyone here have any idea why I should get ectopics or whatever they are called when bending over??  any input whether medically qualified or not would be VERY welcome.

sherma.. believe it or not, this is VERY common.. I myself used to get SVT alot when bending over.. It has to do with the shift in blood volume and the heart trying to compensate, similar to the way you can become dizzy when standing up very fast after sitting for awhile.. Sometimes staying extra hydrated can help with this, but alot of the times we just have to learn to deal :\
