Why can't anybody tell me what kind of palpitations I am having?

For the past three months I can constantly feel my heart beat all over my body. If i lay down i can feel it in my neck and stomach, if i lay against a backboard i can feel my pulse in my back and i can always feel it in my chest. I also have these 'extra strong beats' which can occur either in my chest, my aorta or odd places like my back or my neck. They are usually triggered by an Inhale, for example as i am inhaling, on the third heart beat my heart will pound very strong in my stomach, back, neck or even stranger places.

I have worn a 24hr holter monitor and was shocked that it actually detected NO abnormal rythims. no artiral or ventricular beats or anyhthing, results were completley normal, now my doctor is ignoring me. i think more so because i am young also.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I mean, if they are odd beats occuring in the heart, why am i feeling the pounding beat in other places of my body?

HAS ANYBODY EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE? It would make a world of difference if i could find someone else in the world who has experienced this before?

You have experienced this also? So an extra hard odd beat in random places of your body? How does yours actually feel? Where you having them when you had your Echo of the heart done? I ask because this only started while i had the holter test, but when i had my echo, i wasnt having this. I want to push for anoither echo and have that catch these beats just to make sure my hearts not behaving irregularly when this happends but if youve had an echo and it was happening then, i may not push for another echo.

Please get back to me, thanks

I have this too, it's anxiety...I've had blood tests, two EKGs and an echocardiogram with doppler ultrasound, all came back normal...even knowing this i can still usually feel my pulse in my fingers, neck and stomache. My doctor said it was nothing to worry about and not to think about it. I can also see my pulse in my neck in the mirror sometimes.

It may be your heart was well behaved during the Holter period. That happens all too often.

As for the strong heart beat, I have that, have had it all my life. My doctor didn't like it and had an echo done to see if I had an aneurysm somewhere.  No problems. My heart is noisy. If you haven't been checked for an aneurysm, I suppose you could ask your doctor about that. And your BP - is it normal?
