adverse side effects from verapamil /maxzide combo

I know this may sound strange to some?  I have been on verapmil and maxzide for just over 30days now , switched off of toprol xl and diovan (due to adverse side effects and massive problems)
Im started getting alot of trapped gas and bloating belly conditions!  no matter what I eat or drink -it happens? it does go down within 2 or 3 hours after.  but sometimes I get the worse ever trapped gas! painfull goes right to my shoulder
and upper back and chest ! pushing bloating feeling ? Iv been to the ER 3times for this before - Gas X pills always..
they work but slow.  no one will tell me , if its the effects of the medications im on now ?  has anyone had this ..
this also happend to me while on toprol xl and diovan..  but before the medications, this never happend at all (never!)

think I might ask to try another medication ?   its so fun - being a ginny pig !!    thanks for any help here  boogernose

I never did get any kind reply back about why the drugs take so long to act or adjust.
they told me the same on it will adjust in a (good way)  it never did - infact my system is very sensative to any drug ! with its like clock work- 30days or more and I get the
bad side effects , they start off slow and easy but as time goes , they get worse and worse !  untill  I cant stand them !

yeah I guess im backwords / ha ha !   thats me !!

to find a good Doctor, who has Patience !  (no pun inteneded)  that is hard these days!
most are routine, and its a fast paced see ya , and goodbye out the door visit !

I think its just my body reacts slower than others , and is too sensative to medications.

well thank your for your post !  have a nice day

Did anyone give you a reason that the Verapamil waited so long to mess with your body? They tell us it takes a few weeks for our bodies to adjust (in a good way) and get past all the initial side effects. Your body did it the other way round. I'm  not supporting Verapamil; that stuff was bad news for me. Anyhow, perhaps you'll find a doctor with more patience (no pun intended) that will start fresh and take a look at what's happening with you. Good luck.

Come friday im off the verapamill and maxzide forever !
its really a shame that some (not all) Doctors wont listen to me, they might learn and find what my problem is ? seems its all by the book- routine job (thanks to insurance companys running the show, big bussniss ! and pharm companys pushing drugs and paying Doctors large bonus checks !  to become modern day drug pushers.

Its hard for me, not to think this way- as iv had 6 diffrent doctors in my last hmo plan.
and now changing to a ppo plan /open access - im on my 2nd Doctor !  as no change
as far as help - and again they are controlled by the big insurance companys.
so the word routine comes into play when seeing them.

I have been a ginny pig - for over 16 years or more ,since I joined a hmo plan and now ppo plan .

I guess the next step would be to find a Doctor who listens and understands my problems!  and is willing to work with me to find something that would work ?
ha ha ha..  im dreaming  its not gonna happen , been there done that !

well I ansured myself here.. lol

now im happy .  boogerman
