angina after surgery

I am a 49 yr old female 6 months ago i had a heartattack, it felt as though a elephant was standing on my chest. i had pain in my left arm and neck also on the left side. 2 months after my quad surgery which failed i had to have 3 stents placed. i am trying to get my life back to normal but i see that it does takes time, i don't have the shortness of breath as bad .i am trying to exercise more i am still having angina daily i am on 10 different meds , i take plavix and other heart meds.is this normal or will the angina ever stop. it feels as though i have a large wet tissue paper in my chest. if i lay on  either side it is uncomfortable. any suggestions would be helpful.

You should not have heart related chest pain.  Almost always the chest pain is releated to insufficient blood supply to heart cells (tissues) medically referred to as ischemia.  Uncorrected and in time ischemia will damage heart cells as a result pumping contractions will be weak and a failure of the heart to pump enough blood to meet system demand.

Does your medication provide an slow acting nitrate or nitro.  If there is relief with the medication, that would indicate ischemia as the medication opens a better flow of blood to the deficit areas.
