No, you are not annoying me at all, sorry it took so long to get back to you.  All the things at the bottom of the report is just pretty much saying you bled too much.  The postoperative atelectisis is where your aveoli in your lungs are surrounded by "gunk" which is standard after surgury in people who had problems and did not turn, cough, and deep breathe after surgury....normal.  Now the elevated cardiac enzymes means that there was some sort of damage to the heart muscle...now that could be any thing from mild ischemia( a little lack of O2 to the heart) or necrosis which is death to the heart muscle...bad.  SO slightly elevated is a good sign.  I think that your loss of blood caused a lack of o2 to your heart which caused some REVERSIBLE damage.  The hospital should have caught this on time and listened to your complaints.  With proper o2 now, your heart will return to its postoperative state...now this is all my theory only based on what I am reading so please don't take it as gospel.  I think that a lawyer is definately a good idea, and I am so sorry that the nurses did not listen to your complaints.  God Bless....never worry about writing to me...I always want to help.

i just read this: my doctor wrote"
the following morning, i was noticied that the patients hematocrit was 18.2..her white blood cell count was normal .while getting dressed and ready to come in i ordered an EKG to be performed as patient stated she was having severe chest discomfort..This came back with nonspecific changes and while awating reading by the cardiaologist, i ordered a ches x ray to be performed which was normal except for some apparent postoperative atelectasis..The cardiologist contacted me and stated that the ekg coud have been just some heart strain from the surgery and decreased hematocrit but he did recommed cardiac enzymes be ordered and when these came back elevated he recommeded transfer to a telemetry unit..Blood transfusion had been begun feeling htat this would help decrease any strain on patients heart..At time of tranfer second unit has just been done
final diagnosis
1.worserning menorrhagia
2.refractory dysmenorrhea
3.failed medical therapy
4.postoperative anemia
5.postoperative chest pain with abnormal EKG and elevated cardiac enzymes..

okat sound like spanish to me..LOl

the first ones are testing for iron binding compacity, more or less, your bodies ability to bind to necassary iron,  It is also testing your size, color  of your rbc's.  The rest is a CBC with platletts, neutrophils, basophils, esonophils and the such.  What I am wondering, if there was even a chance of a heart attack....where is your CMBK, all your cardiac enzymes?  Your troponin levels?  There has to be more blood tests.......oh and I am doing this by memory of what I just read because it doesn't show it on the reply page so I need to look back and then write them down for a better response.  Also do you see the results and was any flagged?  Thanks
