Chest discomfort/anxeity related PLease!!!

Hi im a 17 year old male, with good overall health. i just had a physical about a month a go and all of the blood work and urine stuff is good. I am currently in grade 12. In january i was having some chest pains/palpulations and i went to the emergency room and they did the EKG, blood tests and an x ray and everything turned out fine. They said it was just stress/anxiety causing my chest pains. they told me to take some advil and it should go away. I did and it went away, however now im having chest pains again. they have lasted for about 3 days  on the left side and sometimes moves toward the middle. i think it is just the anxiety because i have exams coming up in a week and im all worried about the results.

Do you think this is just anxiety causing this ( i also got headaches a lot in january)
i am a very strefssful person and worry about almost everything.

I would imagine that your pain is anxiety or reflux related. I get stressed out more and tend to get more palps during exam time myself. Exercise always seems to help relieve some of the stress and the symptoms. you might want to try going for a walk, or a run, or a bike ride.

good luck.

Hi,

I am a 28 year old female who has been experienceing heart palpitations and anxiety for the last couple of months.  About 5 weeks ago I went to urgent care and had an EKG performed which turned out fine.  I went to my Dr. and was diagnosed with panic disorder and was placed on 20mg of celexa and 0.5mg of Xanex for immediate relief of intense panic attacks.  I also had a metabolic pannel performed and all came back normal except that I had a mild elevation in biliruben. I have now been on 20mg of Celexa for almost five weeks and still get the ocassional palpitations.  The anxiety is a lot better but I am concerned about the palpitations. Is this normal to experience palpitations after being on celexa this long?

Thanks for your help,

Danielle
