Hello I'm a 4.0 on the ascending. Our surgern Dr. Ganzel at Jewish Heart and Lung
(Lou, KY) recommends I have it replaced at 4.25 because of a strong family history. It also depends on sudden enlargement or leaking. See a good surgeon who does this type of surgery on a rugular basis and research him/her to make sure you receive the best possible. Feel free to contact me any time if you have any more questions.

Depends on what is causing the dilatation (e.g., connective tissue disease).   You need to consult with a surgeon who can take all factors into account when determining whether you need surgery anytime soon.

Also, click on my screenname and read my old posts regarding drugs known as ARBs, which can stabilize or even shrink your aortic root when taken in sufficiently high dosages.
