I agree with Enceph.....I have sleep apnea and wear a CPAP at night. It has made a world of difference. I was part of the largest sleep study done at Stanford Hospital and one of the things they discovered is it is not limited to overweight people. There are two kinds of sleep apnea, too much to get into here, but you can google it. It ranges from mild to severe. Many long term health issues are involved with sleep apnea, so its best to get it treated if that's what you have.
Good luck to you!
i thought that only over weight people had sleep apnea i am in shape i am only 185lbs and im 5 11 i am only 31 years old its very scary to wake up like that
Most likely you have sleep apnea where you stop breathing while sleeping for a period of time. You should have a sleep study done to make sure that it is not happening a lot. I think there is a CPap (not sure of spelling) that people use at nighttime to help them breath. My uncle has one and he says it's the greatest thing to have and now he feels great during the daytime. My husband has sleep apnea and stops breathing several times at night while sleeping. He awakes with a headache, feeling drained, and weak.
