The true relationship between cholesterol and trigs is still not really fully understood. Trigs are like energy packs for you. If you start running, you use trigs until fat reserves in
the body can be released. So exercise helps, but only for short bursts. Once your fat reserves start to be released the trigs are left alone for the next bout of exercise.
As you use fat reserves, LDL cholesterol is used to replace it and this then alters the ratio of HDL to LDL cholesterol meaning there are less LDL to each HDL which is good.
Cut the carbs, like sugars, breads and pastas. Also, there are meds like Tricor to help lower your tri's. You can also increase your exercise, that will lower your tri's and increase your HDL, a win, win!
